The Hebrew name Reuben means ‘Behold a Son’, and is the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel in the Bible.

Within the pages of the Bible, Reuben was the eldest son of Jacob and Leah, although his father rescinded his birthright. This was done because Reuben slept with his step-mother, Bilhah, so instead Jacob gave the birthright to Joseph.

Reuben is a strong sounding name, with the ‘Roo’ sound creating a cultured feel and an air of mystery. it fits well with Torben, Findlay and Carson.
