The Polish name Maciej (pronounced ma-chay) is a variant of Matthew – meaning ‘Gift of God’.

Matthew has so many variations it is crazy, but they are all so alluring. Some of my favourites include Matthea, Matevos, Matići and Matviy.

Maciej reminds me of names Henrich, Santo and Vasilija.
